Fascination of Plants Day 2012

Photos - 18th of the May 2012 we celebrated "Fascination of Plants Day" in Tartu Town Hall Square

 

To celebrate the Fascination of Plants Day, Centre of Excellence ENVIRON, Estonian University of Life Sciences, in collaboration with University of Tartu and Tallinn University of Technology have organized videoclips and slide shows competition.

Every young person is welcome to participate with video clips or slide shows which introduce plants, the importance of plants and plant sciences. A selection of best video clips and slide shows will be presented on 18th of May 2012 during the Fascination of Plants Day in Tartu town square.

Conditions of the competition

Participants: pupils and students at Secondary and Upper Secondary Schools, Vocational Schools and students at higher educational institutions (universities, professional HE) and PhD-students.

Requirements to video clips and slide shows:

  • Video clips can be made with a video camera, a photo camera or a mobile phone.
  • The duration of the clip / slide show should be up to 2 minutes.
  • All clips / slide shows should be uploaded to Youtube.
  • Submission is open from 21th of April, here

Deadline for submitting videos /slide shows for the contest is 4th of May until 17.00

Prizes: The best video clip will be awarded with a shopping mall gift card worth100EUR • The best slide show will be awarded with a shopping mall gift card worth 50EUR • Special Prizes - a shopping mall gift card worth 50EUR • The publicity prize, common for the slide shows and video clips – a gift card worth100 EUR

Author´s responsibility: by submitting the work to the competition the author confirms that:

  • he or she is the author of the work,
  • the author is familiar with and accepts the rules of competition,
  • the author is responsible for all issues (pretension or requests) of any third-person related to the work.

The videos will be published for public voting on 5th of the May.
